This “Up North Getaway” renovation marries cozy, rustic charm with a modern, livable design. The transformation focused on creating a functional, welcoming space for relaxation and entertainment.
The open floor plan was achieved by removing walls between the kitchen, living area, and fireplace, resulting in a seamless, airy space that encourages conversation. The kitchen features double islands—one for culinary prep and the other for gathering guests.
The primary bathroom underwent a complete overhaul, now featuring a freestanding tub, expansive shower, and sleek dual vanity, creating a spa-like retreat. The main floor bath was efficiently reconfigured to include a dual-sink vanity, even after borrowing space to expand the dining room. The powder bath was updated with a wall-hung sink and clever storage solutions.
Blending wood and various textures, this Northern Michigan home now exudes warmth, modernity, and style.
